An Outlet For Unique Thinking 10/18/2017 As someone who possesses what could be classified as a 'damaged' brain, I have a fascination with the way the human mind works. The way each of us process the barrage of information that bombards us at every second of the day to build up our own characters and individual experience of the world is truly remarkable. The fact that we are all different and form our own realities depending on our life experience and physical make-up never fails to astound me. The variety and multitude of viewpoints

Being the daughter of a very outspoken mother, I find it very hard to see virtue in keeping quiet when you are unhappy or see something that you consider wrong or unjust. I was brought up to have a voice and speak out not only for myself but for others. I guess in our more open time

A Hidden Mountain To Climb 09/28/2017 Following last week's blog about that awful bloke who tried to fob me off with a fiver, I have been thinking a lot about the assumptions we all make when we meet someone for the first time. Of course, as a person with a physical impairment, I am quite used to people getting entirely the wrong impression of who I am but sometimes it isn't simply down to a person's disability that causes a stranger to think they can judge someone's personality at first glance. Very often, the image of ourselves we
